FEELING NERVOUS ABOUT MATERNITY PHOTOS? YOU’RE NOT ALONE
Your body is changing. Your wardrobe might feel unfamiliar, your energy is shifting, and there’s a good chance you don’t quite feel like yourself right now. If you're nervous about having maternity photos taken, know that you're in very good company.
So many of my clients tell me they nearly didn’t book their session because they didn’t feel confident or “photo-ready.” But here’s my advice every single time:
Book the photoshoot.
Why? Because this chapter of your life, growing new life, is powerful, beautiful, and fleeting. In the moment, it can be hard to appreciate how incredible your body truly is. But trust me, in time you’ll be so glad you captured it.
I always say to my clients:
“If you wish, no one ever has to see these photos except me and you.”
There’s no pressure to share them or post them. The experience is yours. And more often than not, once they see the photos, my clients feel a huge sense of empowerment. They’re able to celebrate their bodies and the journey they’re on.
Worried about what to wear? I’ve got you covered. I have a beautiful client wardrobe available exclusively for maternity sessions, with carefully chosen pieces that flatter growing bumps and photograph beautifully. You don’t need to bring a thing unless you want to.
The ideal time to have your maternity session is between 28 and 34 weeks, when your bump is popping.
